COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Building stronger communities, together
Our Community Development program equips young Liberians to lead lasting change where they live. Through three connected initiatives, students partner with residents, local leaders and schools to improve shared spaces, strengthen civic participation and protect the environment.

Infrastructure
Students identify local needs and work alongside residents to improve the shared spaces and facilities that communities rely on every day.
- Community needs assessments
- Volunteer clean-up and repair days
- Practical skills and livelihood training

Civic Education
Workshops and peer-led sessions help young people understand their rights, responsibilities and the ways they can take part in local decision-making.
- Rights and citizenship workshops
- Leadership and public speaking
- Recognition of participant achievement

Environmental Advocacy
Youth advocates raise awareness about local environmental challenges and promote sustainable habits, from waste reduction to responsible food practices.
- Awareness campaigns in schools
- Waste reduction and clean-up drives
- Sustainable livelihood practices
